Caramelized Onion Garnish
Ingredients:
1 yellow onion chopped finely
¼ cup agave
1 tbsp. tamari
½ tsp. garlic salt
Directions:
Take the agave, tamari, and garlic salt and place them in a bowl. Whisk them together. Take the onion and place them into an air tight container. Pour the sauce over them, placing them in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours. Remove from the refrigerator; drain the sauce, making sure to save the sauce for other recipes. Place on a dehydrator tray with a teflex sheet. Dehydrate at 115 degrees for 8 hours. After 4 hours in the dehydrator, remove and flip over to make sure it dehydrates evenly. Place back into the dehydrator for the remaining 4 hours.
May be stored in the refrigerator in an air tight container for 6 to 7 days.
